CAP: Up to 1.5cm in diameter. Kidney to shell shaped becoming flatter and eventually with gills turned outwards this creamy yellow oysterling has a cap that is finely felted on the upper surface and always retains an inrolled margin. STIPE: Rudimentary or absent and concolorous with cap. GILLS/PORES: Creamy white. Distant. FLESH: Thin and white with no specific taste or smell. SPORES: Pale buff, ellipsoidal, smooth 7-9 x 3-3.5µm. HABITAT: On dead stems of bracken, small shrubs, dead leaves and grasses. SEASON: Frequent.  Summer to autumn. EDIBILITY: Inedible.
